inspired by the small moments of life.
Most of our days are not made up of overly grandiose hours. Rather they are made up of everyday seconds of subtle magic.
It is these moments, words, relationships, & places --- the ones we easily overlook --- that ultimately make us feel the most alive, when we pay attention, & inspire me to no end.
The challenge to capture *that* feeling no matter the day is a chase that will never get old.
FILM Is THE MOST POWERFUL storytelling medium.

I have always found my space for thought & most importantly reflection, whether it was with my feet dangling off the high, thick branches of an old magnolia by our swing set growing up, or biking to an abandoned dock on the bay where I listened to the sound of waves slapping the rocks. In many ways, I have found a similar space in the time I spend creating.
I would argue that reflection is one of the most life-enhancing practices we can do for ourselves.

With reflection comes a deeper appreciation for the life around us & a stronger sense of what it is that really fills us to the brim. It absolutely sends our hearts soaring for those we love & if you're anything like me, leaves us feeling more in touch with the roots that ground us to who we are.

This love for reflection & need to grasp those magical moments that seem to slip through our fingers as quickly as they were placed in our hands inspired my passion for photography and film. Life is meant for living & it is my desire to capture the times that make us feel the most alive, if for nothing else, to turn back to when we forget our why.
The years go by fast, & only seem to pick up speed. I have been filming some of my fondest memories with friends and my greatest travels since the summer of 10th grade. To sit & be brought back in time to a particular moment, with relationships that still mean the world to me today, and be flooded with those same old feelings through videos I made 2 years ago, let alone 9 years ago, pulls my heartstrings in ways no other medium could.
Not long ago, I had our home videos digitized. The first video I watched sent me to tears as I heard my great-grandmother's voice for the first time in 13 years. It made me feel as though she was in the room with me again, teaching me how to take care of my babydoll & carry my 'pocketbook'.

I am passionate about the power of film to bring us back. To reflect, over and over again. I want to encapsulate your feelings, emotions, & love. I want you to be able to watch and be reminded of the beautiful living work that is your life, forever, & be able to share your story with generations to come.
